Dear Church,
My heart is filled with gratitude as I give this report for the month of April 2025. Many friends have encouraged and strengthened our spirits, and we have found renewed vision for the work God has called us to here in the Northwest. The Beaver Falls Baptist Church has been particularly instrumental in lifting our weary hands and stirring our hearts with love for the Lord and dedication to his calling. There are many more of you who have helped us with calls, notes, scheduling meetings, and simply being friends. Personally, I feel the sun has been shining a bit brighter. I began eating healthier and exercising regularly again. For the past couple months, I have averaged a two-mile run a couple times per week and have shed almost 10 lbs., which is a considerable amount on a small frame. So many of you are instrumental and share the burden of this ministry with us. Without your help, we would surely fail. I praise the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for his mercy endureth forever!
One such church graciously offered to print every door direct flyers for our upcoming Old-Fashioned Gospel Meeting and mail them out for us. The work has already begun, and the results are stunning. Pastor Perkins from the Bible Baptist Church in Coquille has agreed to be our special speaker and I am really looking forward to it! Let me take this opportunity to personally invite Pastor Travis Crew to our meeting which will be held at our regular meeting place, the Shilo Inn (Warrenton). While some require a personal invitation, let me encourage everyone to come, and we hope you will consider passing out tracts when you are in the area and invite others in the community to attend this gospel meeting as well. This is our missionary outreach to the community and an opportunity for a home missions trip for your church. We will incur extra expenses as a result of this meeting and if you are able to help with a financial gift, it would be a great help to the cause of getting the gospel out. Finally, let me say that my heart is burdened for the small handful of people who attend Anchor Baptist Church regularly. So often, we plan special meetings, and our own people do not come. Would you all flood Heaven with prayers concerning this as well as the out-reach in general? The dates of the meeting are July 9-12, and the services start at 7PM.
One of the highlights of our year is the Preacher’s Conference held in Summerville, Oregon. Once again, we were able to connect with several friends and supporting pastors and hear some great encouraging messages. We are thankful to Pastor Humber and the people of Summerville Baptist Church for hosting this meeting and providing wonderful meals. We are grateful for their sacrifice and look forward to this fellowship each year.
In closing, I want to ask special prayer for the first-time visitors who have attended Anchor Baptist Church over the past month. One couple who has known us for several years visited after I did some work for them. They both have a salvation testimony and really need to be in Church. They have been watching from the sidelines for a long time, and I hope you will pay for them with me!
