Dear Church,
The atmospheric rivers have already begun flowing into Clatsop County signaling the beginning of Fall, but our needs are met and our ministry is showing signs of growth after the busy Summer. Consider this entry from William Clark’s Journal on December 5th, 1805 at Fort Clatsop:
Som 〈Showers of〉 hard Showers of rain last night, this morn Cloudy and drisly rain, in the bay above the Showers appear harder. High water to day at 12 oClock this tide is 2 Ins. higher than that of yesterday all our Stores again wet by the hard Showers of last night Capt Lewis’s long delay below has been the cause of no little uneasiness on my part for him, a 1000 conjectures has crouded into my mind respecting his probable Situation & Safty—. rained hard. Capt Lewis returned haveing found a good Situation and Elk Suffient to winter on, his party killed 6 Elk & 5 Deer in their absence in Serch of a Situation and game
Rain continued all the after pt. of the day accompanied with hard wind from the S W. which provents our moveing from this Camp.
I can relate in some ways to Lewis and Clark. Thank you for partnering together with us — believing in the mission of holding this spiritual battle front, covering the work in prayer, and sending financial support. Our stores are wet, we often have uneasiness, the tide is always changing, there are plenty of elk around, and the wicked one “provents our moving from this Camp” at times. Nonetheless, we are persuaded that God is able to pierce this present darkness and call a people out from the world for HIS name.
To help move this mission forward, a mission team from the Trinity Baptist Church with Pastor D.A. Slikard in Alabama volunteered to come at their own expense and help us during March of 2026. As they come, we are planning a revival meeting from March 12th – 15th and Pastor Emeritus Greg Boyle from Faith Baptist Church in Spokane will be our guest preacher. The Alabama team will arrive a few days ahead and help us with evangelizing the area. Please pray for the new people who have been coming to church lately, that they grow and continue all the way to the revival meeting in March. We are so thankful for you!
