Dear Church,

The Bible says “For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself. The poet John Dunn wrote: No man is an island entire of itself, Every man is a piece of the continent, A part of the main. The truth is bearing itself out as the world runs in panic and fear from a virus. With the bill of rights being suspended in America, we are faced with something new; preaching Christ in a land without freedom to assemble. The spiritual toll on people who need Christian fellowship will likely be felt for a generation. For soul-winning Bible preaching churches, our mode of operation has been turned on it’s head.

Overnight, we moved from having no interest in online services to becoming semi-pro YouTubers pleading for people to “smash that subscribe button.” Weeks before the lockdown, I felt impressed to acquire sound equipment for the church. Many of you received our e-mail asking for a sound-mixer. In answer to the e-mail and prayer, two ladies replied with exceedingly abundantly above all I could ask or think. Literally! An entire sound system with cables, speakers, adapters, and two mixing boards was donated to Anchor Baptist Church. They simply refused to accept any compensation at all, trusting that God would reward them; and I believe he will! God knew ahead of time how we needed this equipment for our streaming services!

A few weeks into March, the Lord blessed one of our last meetings in the comfort suites conference room with a young man who trusted Jesus Christ as his Saviour! God is working on several others and we ask for your prayer. The Lord continues to meet our needs financially even though the church is not self-supporting at this time, and the quarantine is not helping. Joseph told his brothers; ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive. We are trusting the Lord to use this situation and provide us with a building since the Mayor closed the hotel. We continue to stream a worship service and communicate regularly with people. Thank you for standing with us!
